Kiln Drying Process & Lead Time

During the winter months, we operate a kiln to dry our firewood. Each kiln batch can hold 20 m³ of logs and typically takes about one week to reduce the moisture content to below 20%. We also accept advance orders for firewood, with a typical lead time of 2 to 4 weeks.

Stacked volume vs loose cubic meter volume

One cubic meter (1 m3) of loose logs typically translates to around 0.7 cubic meters when stacked.

Sellers of firewood in crates more often than not provide inaccurate loose volume comparisons by including the pallet in the calculation, removing this increases the £/m3 price by quite a bit.

Delivery method

We deliver our logs loose in our trailer.  The logs are tipped from the rear of the trailer on your drive way.  We can deliver up to 6m3 at a time
